A sunburst diagram is an evolution of the pie chart, which allows to represent hierarchical relationships.
They are created in the same way as pie charts, except that more than one categorical variable is linked to 'subdivision'. The order of the variables in the 'subdivision' shelf is important, as it specifies the hierarchical relationship.
