Density heatmap

Density heatmaps allow us to visualize dense data sets, in which there are many overlapping marks. These charts use different color intensities to show where there is a higher density of values.

To create a density heatmap, on any chart with many overlapping marks, select "Density map" option in "Distribution plot" (Right sidebar).

To display only the density heatmap, select "none" in mark type.
