Area chart

The area chart is very similar to the line chart, except that the space between the line and the categorical axis is filled with color.

To create an area chart:

Select 'areas' in 'Marks'.
Link a quantitative variable to the ‘Y-axis’ and a categorical or date variable to the ‘X-axis’ (or vice versa).
To create a stacked area chart link a categorical variable to 'color'.
